Bronx native Autumn Rowe began her affiliation with B-Room Music over a decade ago when she was one of the hardest working singer songwriter/performers on the NY session circuit, working in the studio by day and fronting her own soul band, Autumn, by night. Her breakthrough came when she wrote three singles for Star Roc/Roc Nation/Sony artist, Alexis Jordan including "Happiness", an international smash which became the theme song for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. Future hits followed for Leona Lewis ("Collide" with Avicci), Karmin's "Hello", Cher Lloyd's #1 UK smash "Swagger Jagger" and Kylie Minogue's "Sexy Love" amongst others. She released her debut solo single, "If I Don't Have You" on Ultra/Sony Music earlier this year.
Daniel Plante may be one of the best kept secrets in the music business. A multi-instrumentalist who is equally at home programming pounding EDM and pop grooves and he is strumming an acoustic guitar, the last couple of years has finally seen the all rounder achieve some of the success he deserves, albeit a lot way from home. Plante's songwriting partnership with Matthew Tishler has resulted in a #3 Japanese smash in 2012 for iconic artist Kumi Koda with "Whatchu Waitin' On". They followed it up last year with another #3 smash, "Grotesque" by Japanese superstars Ken Hirai and Namie Amuru, Plante's alter ego, Mavrik, allows his harder, experimental side to shine. Mavrik's remix of Adele's "Rollin' InThe Deep" was a #1 Soundcloud hit.
Pastele an edgy hybrid of reggae pop and indie art, draws her inspiration from disparate influences such as Gwen Stefani and Andy Warhol, Bruno Mars and Keith Herring. She prefers the term, "Hip-Pop". Pastele's unique reggae/ska vibe to her vocals creates an interesting dynamic when driven by hip-hop style beats, sweet guitar riffs, and infectious pop melodies.
Born and raised in Livingston, New Jersey to a music family Pastele performed throughout her childhood and by the time she was 16 her songs (which she sang as part of the group Candy Coated Chaos) were being used by MTV on their wildly popular shows "The Hills", The City" and "Jersey Shore". However, while suburban teens were hearing her music on TV, Pastele was also drawing inspiration from the art scene at the highly regarded Fashion Institute Of Technology in Manhattan.
"My grandmother and uncle were artists so I was always inspired by them" she says. "I realized my talent in preschool when everyone was drawing stick figures and I already had the anatomy of a figure down. I then was put in a gifted and talented art class through elementary and middle school then AP and Honors art in high school. I would hang out in the art wing during lunch or study hall and just paint. Stubbornly, I only applied to one college which was F.I.T., and was accepted and graduated as a fashion/general illustration major."
Constantly working in her world of creativity, Pastele graduated college with a vision to mesh high fashion, art and music in the way she wants the world to view it. "Musical artists such as David Bowie and Prince who have matched their ever evolving music with a great visual image have always spoken to me. Of course on the visual art side Keith Haring, Basquiat, Salvador Dali to be intertwined with the pure feel good pop of Madonna, Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani that I love. Somehow I try to throw it all into what I do."
Pastele produces her own material as well as working with various cutting edge producers in NY, NJ, and LA. "The general rule is that there are no rules" - Pastele. "I'm heavily influenced by so many cultures that in result, what comes out of those speakers becomes a beautiful collage to me. There are no walls, no barriers, I just want people to feel this vibe and connect with something special".
I love pop culture but yet I love the indie art world. I hope to bring that world into the masses and create an awareness. It's all art and I want to show how great it can be co-existing together in the best way I can.
Although you may never have heard of Tony Vee, chances are you have heard the work of this nimble fingered keyboardist/DJ/producer. Working alongside legendary DJ Tony Humphries, Tony made a name for himself by working on a string of club and pop classics in the '90's on all the major labels by artists including Living Color, The Beloved and Jellybean. Influenced recently by the UK Dub Step scene and the progressive hard edged grooves of Wolfgang Gartner amongst others, Tony Vee combines a DJ's understanding of killer dance floor grooves with a musician/programmer's flair for sound and melody. His latest single on the B-RoomMusic label is the sublimely infectious "No Regrets" with Teau Johnson.
